About
My Name Is Katie Flowers And I Create Art Projects To Awaken Your Creative Nature And Connect You With The Earth.

How do I do that?
Through unique experiential art activities and workshops, which enhance, mindfulness, playfulness and the rather gentle art of paying attention.
I grew up in England blessed with a childhood teacher who took us out on ‘nature walks’ we collected things and we recorded our findings in our very precious Nature Books. She knew that we all had an ability to zoom in and keep our senses tuned in to the nuance and enchantment of the skies, the plants and the cosmos. She taught me the art of paying attention.
I still experience the very same sense of wonder and curiosity in the amazing landscape of Hong Kong and I still create Visual Journals on a daily basis! Making and teaching art has enabled me to work with people of all ages, in the discovery of the unique and natural beauty in our landscape as well as in the discovery of those very same aspects within themselves.
I work daily with children and young people who walk willingly towards their own art making, I then observe the creative yearning in their parents and in fact in most adults that I meet. There is a very common comment, “I wish I could do that but I gave up art in primary school because I was no good at it”.
So its time to wake up and reconnect with that amazing inner creative source people!
Through my “Wild at Art” projects, I aim to motivate, encourage and inspire you in the same way way that I was helped by my teacher. To enable you to witness your own creative potential and to help you back to your own a creative journey. I work with a group of talented and inspired facilitators from Hong Kong and overseas.
As we build mindful awareness of our own creative self, so we can look outwards to the wild and glorious natural world. I use art activities to enable people to connect with nature, through teacher workshops, urban nature walks, onsite activities and Earthkeeper camps,
I have worked in the arts for 25 years, I have been lucky enough to work with many local and international schools, students, teachers and parents, the Hong Kong Youth Arts Festival, World Wildlife Fund and other community groups to develop all kinds of community and educational arts projects.
I also create my own paintings and mixed media artworks inspired by the wonderful landscape of my inner and outer worlds.
If you would like to find those small moments in life that motivate you to want to create……and if you would like to be enchanted and excited, and reconnect with your sense of wonder you are in the right place!
